Profile

Mr Trivedi qualified from St George's Hospital Medical School, London in 2005 and went on to complete foundation medical training in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery in 2007. He undertook specialist training in internal medicine within the Oxford Deanery and was appointed as a specialist registrar in gastroenterology in 2009. In 2011, he began doctoral research training at the National Institute for Health Research in Birmingham, writing a thesis on how gut inflammation may influence the development and progression of autoimmune liver disease. Mr Trivedi was appointed to a faculty position in 2018.

He is an associate professor at the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Birmingham Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), and an accredited gastrointestinal endoscopist, with skills in variceal surveillance and banding, and in the investigation and treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding.
