Vin, a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, has a focus on Upper Limb Surgery and General Trauma. He is particularly interested in hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, and microvascular procedures. His private practice is located at The Priory Hospital in Birmingham and The Meriden Hospital in Coventry. After graduating from the University of the West Indies, he furthered his education in Basic Surgical Training at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust. During his time at University Hospital Birmingham, he gained recognition in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, due to his extensive publications and developing interest in Upper Limb Surgery. Following his completion of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery Training, Vin pursued further education by completing a 4-month General Trauma Fellowship at Brighton Major Trauma Centre. He then went on to participate in two highly regarded Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) approved Upper Limb and Microvascular Surgery Fellowships for a total of 2 years at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) in Brisbane, Australia. In addition to this, he obtained the European Diploma in Hand Surgery in 2017 and has successfully performed over 8,000 surgeries.
